Now as an IFS coach, I love to work with others who are ready to make changes in their own webs of relationships, both internal and external.
I value curiosity, agency, and collaboration in my work.
In Internal Family Systems coaching, everything flows from open investigation of your lived truths—not the truths you think you should know or experience, but the ones you actually do. I’m not here to tell you your thinking or feeling is wrong, but to help you understand these experiences so that you can learn your own deeper truth. I consider myself support staff, while you’re the leader in our work together.
My work is grounded in social justice. It is essential to engage the ways systemic oppression affects us and the internalized narratives we carry when searching for well-being. I show up as my full self in our coaching meetings and hope you will do the same. ALL your identities and life experiences are important.
About the IFS Coach
Hi, I’m Augustin. Have you spent a lot of time wondering what this being human thing is all about? Me too. In searching for understanding, I realized that relationships—with ourselves, each other, and the larger world—are central to the human experience.
I became a therapist so that I could contribute in a meaningful way to this web of relationships. On that path, I discovered the Internal Family Systems model. (Please note that IFS coaching is not therapy. If you live in Minnesota and are interested in seeing me for therapy, hop on over to my therapy website.)
IFS made intuitive sense. I have felt all kinds of ways at once and not known how to navigate the storm. I have wanted to go with my instincts but been afraid to trust myself. I have lived for years with critical or mean voices in my head, sometimes believing them, sometimes understanding they weren’t right but not knowing how to quiet them.
Parts work gave me skills to navigate all of that.
